Puss in Boots Movie in 2011

Dreamworks Animation has greenlit the movie 'Puss in Boots The Story of an Ogre Killer'. It's a spin-off from the Shrek movie franchise and it will an origin story focusing on Puss in Boots, yep that naughty red cat. Antonio Banderas who's been
lending his voice to the feisty feline so far is set to reprise his role.

Plot:
"A story about the events leading up to the sword fighting cat's meeting with Shrek and his friends."

"I did the first recordings and it's going to be called Puss In Boots - it starts when he was little. He was in an orphanage when he first discovered his effect on people, that's when he starts being intelligent."

I'm glad to hear that we'll get to see the early years of the feisty feline Puss in boots! I'm no fan of Shrek and his farting jokes, but I do dig the cat. He's a funny character who definitely deserves his own movie. Let's hope we'll see how he learned his best defense: using his cute nature by staring up at his foes with an innocent, wide-eyed expression, which softens his foes' hearts!

Also heard that a new character will be introduced: Kitty, Puss in Boots' love interest. Don't know yet if she is one of the cats in the Shrek films.

The movie Puss in Boots will be released on November 4, 2011.
